The Adoption Alliance is a 501 (c) 3 charitable, not-for-profit corporation. As a result the agency relies on donations to help with certain expenses. The agency has set up a Agency General Expense Fund to help with some of the following expenses:
The Adoption Alliance is sometimes faced with unforeseen legal expenses through contested adoptions. Defending these contests is unfortunately necessary in some cases and is always expensive.
We also try to help the birthparents by sending flowers, household supplies, car seats, toys, baby clothes, etc. Many of our birth parents have other children and do not have the resources necessary to provide toys or games for these children.
Adoptive couples who will adopt a special needs child also incur additional expenses that are over and above what was anticipated. These donations help with the extra costs and provide some assistance to the birthmothers of these children.
In addition to the various funds we use to help with unexpected needs, several times each year we try to send the birth parents gift baskets. They really appreciate this thought, as most cannot afford to purchase these luxuries. Please send new products or samples of perfumes, lotions, scarves, sunglasses, or hair care items.
