Making an Adoption Plan

The Adoption Alliance, as a state-licensed agency, can provide birth mothers who choose adoption with a range of counseling, education, living assistance, and support services. This includes:

  • Counseling

Although you may not feel a need for counseling at present, you will find it very helpful in dealing with all of the new issues you will face. You will never be pressured by counselors to place your child for adoption. Counseling is provided before and after the birth and placement of your child.

  • Education

You will receive information concerning pregnancy, childbirth, adoption and grief issues.

  • Planning

An agency counselor can assist you with your adoption plan. If you have not already decided on a family, you may help choose the family for your baby and receive information about them. You may talk to and meet the adoptive parents.
