MYTH
#2:
A
birth parent will never know anything about her
child and their adoptive parents in the
future.
This
is far from the truth! Consider these important
points:
- You
may select your adoptive family from
pictures/profiles of families awaiting
adoption.
- You
can meet the adoptive family and gather
information about them. You may spend time
getting to know all about them prior to the
birth.
- You
may spend time with your child after
delivery.
- You
may send a gift and write letters to your
child/adoptive family.
- You
can allow the adoptive couple to share the birth
with you at the hospital.
