John and Nicole are a hopeful adoptive parents waiting to adopt a baby. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you about our family. We are excited that you are taking some time to look through our adoption profile. We hope that you can see that we are prepared to give your child a great life with our endless love and support.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read our Birth Parent Letter and family profile.

Dear Birth parents,

Hi, we’re John, Nicole and John Paul.

A warm hello and greeting to you!

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you about our family. We are excited that you are taking some time to look through our adoption profile. We hope that you can see that we are prepared to give your child a great life with our endless love and support.

We have been praying for you and the baby and we look forward to the day when our paths cross. We can just imagine how difficult this decision must be for you. We want to express our utmost respect to you for the most loving choice to make an adoption plan for your child. We will provide our love, an encouraging home, a fulfilled life and a firm foundation in Christ to our children. We are open to sharing letter and photo updates with you, so you can see how your baby is growing. We have already experienced adoption when we welcomed our first son; it is a humbling experience and your gracious act of love is beyond words!

After we learned we were unable to get pregnant – the decision to grow our family via adoption was an easy one for us because we talked about the possibility of adoption even before we were married. We have a strong faith and know in our hearts that it was all in HIS plan for our family to be formed by adoption.

Our first Adoption Journey

Our son, John Paul, was born in Guatemala and is a delightful 4 year old boy. He cannot wait to have a sibling. We know he will be an awesome big brother; he is gentle,
sensitive and caring. He is always concerned if a little one gets hurt at the playground and will go to console them, give them a hug and help them. Many times while playing or singing, he will say “I am going to teach my baby brother or sister this!” He just can’t wait to be a big brother and has even been practicing holding a baby. John Paul is in kindergarten this year and he is absolutely thrilled about school. We think this is a perfect time to welcome our second child.

Talking about Adoption

We have shared our son’s adoption story with him since we brought him home at 6 months old. We believe it is especially important for him to know as much as he can
about his adoption story. Although he is still young, we want to provide open communication for him to ask questions and have a conversation about how God
brought him into our family. We plan to do the same with the next child God brings into our family. We want our children to view adoption as a positive loving act.

Family Fun

As a family, we do lots of fun things together. We visit parks, playgrounds, children’s museums, and aquariums to name a few. John Paul really enjoys seeing all of the animals. We like to travel internationally. We have been to Europe including Greece with our Church and England, Ireland, Scotland, France and Spain on one of John’s business trips. When John has business trips to Washington D.C., we like to visit with our friends and visit the Smithsonian. Our most recent family vacation was a trip to Walt Disney World. It was so much fun eating breakfast with the characters and getting their autographs. John Paul is still talking about it and wants to bring his sister or brother there soon! We have plans to go back to Disney in the future as a family of four. We also visit with our families several times a year to spend time with grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our family also enjoys various outdoor activities that include sports and things around our home, like gardening. We play baseball and soccer with John Paul in the yard as well as bike riding through our neighborhood. He also enjoys playing on the swing set in our yard. One of our favorite places to visit is the beach and we don’t live far from the ocean so we go at every opportunity we can. Every fall, we enjoy the leaves changing color, going apple picking and getting pumpkins that we carve and roasting the pumpkin seeds. During the winter, John Paul loves to play in the snow and build snowmen. It’s so much fun! We also attend an annual adoption picnic at an amusement park in the summer and a holiday party in December. All of the children have such fun together! It is nice to spend time with other families formed by adoption. This is a tradition that we will continue as a family.

About John Paul

John Paul enjoys many outdoor activities: swimming year-round, baseball (his favorite sport), soccer and tennis. He is a member of our Church’s young people’s choir and sings at Mass. He likes to finger paint, make crafts and play board games, “Trouble” and “Candyland” are his favorites. Additionally, he enjoys computer games like Curious George and playing with his friends. He likes to be read to especially at bedtime and also enjoys telling us a story using the book illustrations. During the summer, he attends a town-wide camp where he is able to play with other children and enjoys craft time, face painting, music, singing, meeting the police and firemen, and playing in the water at the splash pad.

God’s Plan

John and I met at a Bible Study at Nicole’s Church in 1999. Our relationship began shortly after a trip to the Holy Land in 2000. We booked the trip at the same time with the same travel group and neither of us knew it until we announced it at Bible Study. We were both surprised! Our courtship was filled with many special activities and events, including Church activities, sharing our faith, leading a youth group at our Church and traveling. John proposed to me on Christmas Eve, 2003 after Midnight Mass. We were married 6 months later in June and three years later; we welcomed our son and celebrated his baptism in our Church.

Faith

As you can probably tell… our Catholic faith is very important to us. We attend Church weekly and are active in our parish. God and family are important and we try to nurture both.

Careers & Parenting

John is an Engineering Manager and builds submarines for the US Navy. Nicole was a CPA and worked for insurance companies before we adopted our son. She is now happy to be a stay-at-home mom. We both take our parenting roles seriously and believe it is so important for Nicole to be home with our children. John is a “hands on” father and a fantastic provider. Together, we made plans to provide our family with financial security. It has been such a blessing to be able to be a stay-at-home mom. We look ahead to raising our second child with the same love, care and attention.

Family and Friends

John has 4 siblings: 1 older brother and 3 sisters. Nicole is an only child. John’s siblings live in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and California. Nicole’s family lives in Michigan and Oregon as well as Germany. Nicole’s parents are retired and her mom was a medical assistant and her dad a truck driver. John’s Dad was in Sales and his mom was a stay at home mom with John. John’s family lived in several states while he was growing up. We are surrounded by a loving, encouraging group of family and friends who are excited that we are adopting again! Nicole loves to cook and bake, especially apple pie and Christmas cookies, and is often online looking for a special dinner or dessert recipe. We enjoy entertaining family and friends at our home. John Paul can be found helping Mom bake cookies or helping making breakfast (pancakes or french toast are favorites).

Where we call home

We live in a neighborhood that allows us to walk, ride bikes and chat with our neighbors while the kids play together outside. Our home is set back in a wooded setting with flower gardens surrounding our home. We have a 4-bedroom home with an open floor plan. Our home is spacious, yet has a cozy feel as you enter. We also have a finished basement with a pool table and TV area. Our town has a parks and recreation department that offers many activities that we utilize (baseball, soccer, tennis, golf) and summer concerts on the green.

Education is very important to us.

We are both college graduates and worked while in college to help pay for our educations. Nicole graduated and became a Certified Public Account and John obtained a degree in Nuclear Engineering. Our educations have allowed us to live a comfortable lifestyle. Our goal will be to send our children to college or a trade school to help them reach their future goals. No matter what they decide to do – we will be there to cheer them on!

Open Adoption

We can’t wait to meet you and the child you will place in our hearts and home. We would love to be able to tell our child firsthand about the loving person you are. If you decide to be updated in the future, we would like to send you photos and letters so you can see how your child is flourishing in our family.

How to reach us

We welcome any opportunity to talk with you and answer any other questions you may have. If you would like to speak with us, or have questions about us or adoption, a caring, knowledgeable member of “The Adoption Alliance” can assist you. You can reach them toll free by calling 1-800-626-4324.

With gratitude and prayers,

Hi, we are Gerri and Rick! We welcome you and thank you for taking time to learn about our family. We value you and the decision that you are making. It means a lot to us that you are considering us as potential parents and family for your precious child(ren). We are a happily married Cuban / Italian family hoping to expand our family through adoption. We are proud parents of our son, Nicholas and cannot wait to welcome our second child. We pray that you will help to answer those prayers. We want this experience to be a positive one both for you and for us. We pray for you and your family. May God bless and protect you always.

Our story …
We met on a blind date through a mutual friend. From the start we both felt very comfortable with each other and talked about everything under the sun. We had a lot in common and as they say “the rest was history.” A few months later, Rick flew to my parent’s home to properly ask my dad in Spanish for permission to marry me. Rick is traditional and wanted to show respect to my parents. This was especially touching because Rick didn’t speak any Spanish! He wrote what he wanted to say and had a friend translate it.

We were married in 2003 and our wedding day was incredible and memorable. We had a small intimate wedding. We were married during a huge east coast black-out so there was no power anywhere! We were married in a small church lit by sunlight and had a beautiful reception by candlelight. It was a perfect evening.

After we were married, we were eager to start our family. It did not happen easily for us. After trying on our own, we sought the advice from an infertility doctor and we decided to move forward with infertility treatments. In 2005 we welcomed our son, Nicholas and we were beaming with delight.

Knowing we wanted another child, we decided to try for another child as soon as we could. So, when Nicholas turned six months we underwent several infertility treatments in hopes to become pregnant again, which didn’t work. Throughout the treatments, we still enjoyed our family and didn’t let the disappointments interfere. We decided to take a break and enjoy being a family. As time passed, our feelings of adding another child to our family only grew stronger. After much thought, we decided to take the path of adoption to welcome our second child. We both grew up with a sibling and realize the importance of having a brother or a sister. We are ready to expand our family and offer your child a home where they will be loved, cared for and kept safe. We have so much love to give and are excited to expand our family and give your child a big brother and an encouraging home to grow up in.

Our promise…
Our promise to our new child is to provide a place where he or she will live and will grow up to be a happy and moral person. Your child will know that their opinions and decisions are valued. Your child will be raised in a loving and healthy home, free of argument, where we talk things out, help each other and respect each other. Your child will know that your decisions were made carefully and with lots of love. Your child will be encouraged to reach for the stars. We will be completely devoted to your child’s care and well-being.

Our thanks…
Although it doesn’t seem adequate, we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our family with you. We want to thank you for allowing us to show you how much love there is in our home, for each other, for our son, for your child and for you.

How to reach us…
We welcome any chance to talk with you and get to know one another. If you would like to speak with us, or have questions about us or adoption, a helpful, knowledgeable member of “The Adoption Alliance” can assist you. You can reach them toll free by calling 1-800-626-4324.

With Love and prayers,
Gerri & Rick

Thomas and Linda are hopeful adoptive parents waiting to adopt a baby. Words cannot begin to express how thankful we are for you! Being parents blessed with one biological child, we can really appreciate the unconditional love you obviously have for your child. If given the honor, we will surround your child with unconditional love for the rest of their lives. You can reach them toll free by calling 1-800-626-4324.

If you are pregnant and considering placing your child for adoption, please read our Birth Parent Letter and family profile.

Dear Birth Parents,

Hello. Our names are Thomas and Linda. Words cannot begin to express how thankful we are for you! Being parents blessed with one biological child, we can really appreciate the unconditional love you obviously have for your child. If given the honor, we will surround your child with unconditional love for the rest of their lives.

Our son Nicholas is very well rounded and healthy. He is quite compassionate and nurturing to others. He is a good student and involved in many activities such as Boy Scouting, sports and volunteering. He has many friends. Nicholas often expresses the desire to care for a sibling .He says he would love to teach him/her and would love to be a big brother by helping them grow.

We have always wanted to make our family complete by having another child. After a very serious car accident, Linda was no longer able to have another child. But, we never gave up hope! We both come from large families and know having a sibling is a precious gift. We feel that an adopted child is a true gift from God equally as much as a biological child.

We are married 15 years but started out first as best friends. We consider ourselves soul mates and very blessed to have each other. We have always been a close couple with an open relationship. We often speak about how unique and strong the bonds of love we have for one another are. We also believe that children learn what they live. We would love to share our love with another child and teach them about how wonderful life and love are.

We have a strong family with our Catholic faith being a major component. We go to church together, we eat meals together and we celebrate together. We are very close with our family. Our family consists of grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who live close by and who are extremely supportive.
Education is important to us and your child would have a private school education. We are also a family who is active in volunteering both in our church and school community. We find this very fulfilling and feel that it is a great example to teach a child to give back by helping others.

We love to vacation, go for bike rides, play sports, go to the theatre, go to museums and play board games.

We live in a beautiful home with a large backyard, play area, swing set and patio. We have a finished playroom filled with toys and your child would have their own bedroom. Our home is in a pretty neighborhood with parks and shopping centers nearby. We live on a tree lined street with many children of all ages. We are friendly with all of our neighbors.

Having a family is a privilege we take quite seriously. We devote ourselves to being there for our family. Linda works part-time three days a week, only a couple of hours a day and Thomas works full-time. We have both been with our employers for almost twenty years. Both of our schedules are flexible, one of us (if not both) will always be home. Although we have close family members willing to help out, it has always been important to us as parents, to be the primary caregivers.

At this time, we want to say thank you. If you choose us to be the adoptive family to your child, we will always guide and support him/her. Should you choose to receive letters or photos, we would be honored to share them with you. We will provide them with all the tools they need to have a happy, healthy and fulfilled life. Please know that your child will always know how much they are loved. They will be told of the love you have for them and of the great sacrifice you made for them. God bless you.

Sincerely,

Linda and Thomas
