Dear Birth Parents,
Your heart will lead you…
It must seem that all these letters start off the same and blur together after a while. People that you do not know are being sympathetic to your situation while trying to convey their positive qualities and desire to raise your child in a few sentences. Please know that while this decision is probably the most difficult one you will make, you are not going to make the wrong decision. Your heart will lead you to the right parents who will love your child completely. We thank you for making this courageous and selfless decision and hope that you will consider us as the family who will give your child a loving home and a promising future.
We have been married since 1994 but we have known each other since High School. Even before we were engaged, Jim was adamant that he wanted to adopt. When it became apparent that we couldn’t have children, it was a simple decision to make. If you choose to place your child with us, he/she will grow up in a home that is filled with love, kindness and tolerance as the priority and a lot of fun mixed in. We both feel that we have the maturity, life experience and patience to be successful parents.
The past 10 years of our marriage have taught us both not to sweat the small stuff. We have both gone through heartbreaking tragedies but have come out stronger with the help of family, friends and most of all each other. It may sound cliché and corny, but it is true. We know that health and happiness are the most important aspects of life. Not what you have, but who you have.
If you place your child with us for adoption we will repay that gift by loving your child unconditionally. We promise to raise him or her to be thoughtful and respectful and we will provide your child with opportunities for growth and learning. We know these goals will provide your child with the foundation for a happy life filled with endless possibilities.
Thank you,
Jim and Pam
